July 17th, 2008 at 00:12:35 Don't forget the truly magnificent orchestration of Wally Stott. His arrangements complement Scott's voice perfectly. Go out right now and buy Scott 1, 2, 3 and 4.
July 18th, 2008 at 00:35:34 Why would we watch him when we can watch the main man right here?
July 18th, 2008 at 00:58:33 Listen to Tommy Wallach perform this song. He's great!!
July 18th, 2008 at 01:21:32 walker had to rely on rod mckuen's translations of brel, which are for the most part pretty weak. but mr. engel sings the hell out of them, even matching brel's rapid fire delivery. to to hear them in this voice in french would be tremendous.
July 18th, 2008 at 01:44:31 pdevine, i was thinking that, i always imagine that skelington singing 'montague terrace in blue' too :]
July 18th, 2008 at 02:07:30 The 'arm waving' is a dedication to Jaques Brel's original performance of Jacky.
July 18th, 2008 at 02:30:29 The actions are inappropriate and distracting. The song is strong enough to stand on its own without all the arm waving.
July 18th, 2008 at 02:53:28 its hard to believe this song is so old, truly origional material
July 18th, 2008 at 03:16:27 haha am i the only not hearing his influence in Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas?
July 18th, 2008 at 03:39:26 'strongly recommend' scott 2,4,..fuck it all of them!
July 18th, 2008 at 04:02:25 "cute cute in a stupid ass way" THIS SONG IS INCREDIBLE....Scott Walker is a genius...
July 18th, 2008 at 04:25:24 well there album has real simalarities to him
July 18th, 2008 at 04:48:23 oh really ? tell me bout it
July 18th, 2008 at 05:11:22 Pure Genius!
July 18th, 2008 at 05:34:21 can really hear how the last shadow puppets are using scott walker as a major influence, pretty sweet!
July 18th, 2008 at 05:57:20 PLEASE DONT READ!!! i died 3 years ago in a hotel room. it was late and i wanted to go for a swim in the pool downstairs as i was walking a man came running out of his yelling about a creepy statue in his room, and it had moved. i walked in the room and saw the staue it dident move for about 3 minutes i was about to walk out when it pulled a knife and stabbed me in the chest 5 times. if you dont repost this 15 times in the next 12 minutes that man will stab you in your sleep at 2:00am.
July 18th, 2008 at 06:20:19 great song
July 18th, 2008 at 06:43:18 Sublime - the guy is a genius. The Walker Brothers were amazing but Scott himself just got better and better and those four solo albums he released were brilliant. I love the epic, cinematic feel of his performances. Tremendous!
July 18th, 2008 at 07:06:17 'a singer with a Spanish bum'! hahaha This is fab, so dramatic, gloriously debauched and decadent. I saw a documentary about him a while ago - his music now is very experimental and not at all commercial, and has been so for many years. He eschewed the mainstream music scene and celebrity because he is one of the rare ones who has integrity, amazing talent and hasn't destroyed himself with drugs!
July 18th, 2008 at 07:29:16 he has completely lost the plot,i think he was just to intelligent for his time.
July 18th, 2008 at 07:52:15 Hah, I love his movements. As well as the song.
July 18th, 2008 at 08:15:14 I love Jacques Brel. When was that show ? in 60's ?
July 18th, 2008 at 08:38:13 no hes very much alive and well.
July 18th, 2008 at 09:01:12 thank you
July 18th, 2008 at 09:24:11 oh no, he's very much alive. He had a new album out a few years ago, but the music he makes now is nothing like this.
